Atheist Ad Contest

April 18th, 2007

I stumbled across an Atheist ad competition on YouTube today. There are currently around 10 entries to the competition with quite a few being good entries. While I am not someone to push my atheistic views towards someone, I do believe that these ads may help other Atheist openly discuss their opinions.

Here is a link to the contest details: Atheist Ad Contest
Below is one of my personal favorites:

Finding Music You Like

April 7th, 2007

I recently came across a great website that features hundreds of unsigned musicians. I have already found a few new artists that I really enjoy listening to and plan on using the site to find many more in the future.  Take a look for yourself and visit this link to Acoustic Artists .  This is just one section on the site of many genres that are available for you to browse through.  I have increased my favorite play lists by taking the time to check out many of the artists featured on Unsigned.com and I recommend for you to do the same.  I have found that no matter what music genres you prefer to listen to, Unsigned.com has plenty of artists listed under each category.  Stop listening to the same old bands and give some new artists a chance – you may surprise yourself and find some bands or artists that you like better than any others!

Spring Break Trip to Rome

April 4th, 2007

I had a great time in Rome, Italy during Spring Break!  I was very happy with the hotel we stayed at, Hotel Ariston (www.hotelariston.it).  We were able to have a nice breakfast at the hotel before heading out each day.  It was exciting to get to see all of the famous sites that are in Rome.  I found the food in Rome to also be very good – we had pizza several times that was delicious and we also ate at many nice restaurants for dinner which owned up to their high prices.  One nice restaurant/bar we ate at was the Supper Club (http://www.supperclub.com) which is a very modern restaurant where you eat off of a large bed.  We were unable to find many great bars in Rome until we went on a Pub Crawl one night.  The pub crawl was well worth the 20 Euros it cost us as we got free beer/wine for an hour, free shots, and most important of all we were able to find out where some of the best bars are!  Overall I was very happy with my trip to Rome and would definitely consider going back there again.
