Why Would You Give Up On Ron Paul?

I have talked to several friends recently who have the attitude that they will not vote for Ron Paul because he has no chance of winning. This attitude is never going to help you get what you think is best if you simply settle for an alternative. I feel like this attitude causes a chain reaction that makes many would be Ron Paul voters change their minds and vote on an alternative that has a better chance of winning the election. The same attitude can also be seen from many Ron Paul supporters on the internet wondering when they should switch their vote as seen in this post that I found on Reddit: When Do We, As Paul Supporters, Switch to Obama? There are some interesting comments on that post that you should read. The bottom line is: NO OTHER CANDIDATE COMES CLOSE to Ron Paul’s ideas on how to run the country and if you believe in him you need to go vote for him. Ron Paul will never have the slightest chance unless you go vote for him!

Philips Norelco T980 Review

I’ve been in need of a new beard trimmer and when I saw the T980 Philips Norelco vacuum trimmer pop up on Amazon at an amazing price (down to just $39.99 now) I promptly ordered it. I was somewhat wary of how well the trimmer would work as it has a built in vacuum to help prevent your sink from getting hair all over it. I have been using the trimmer for two weeks now and absolutely love it! I can’t believe how well the vacuum actually works - I no longer have to clean the sink after trimming my beard and mustache. One of my favorite features of this trimmer is that it is a built in adjustable length feature so you can make sure you always trim your beard or mustache to the exact same length without having several attachments to add - all you do is turn the dial and the cutting length can be set to your satisfaction. Again I will say that that it is amazing how well the trimmer collects all your little hairs using the vacuum system on the razor and would definitely recommend this to others. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate this product a 9.8! Check around for the best current pricing but at the time of this post Amazon had the best pricing (linked below)

Toshiba HD-A30 DVD Player Review

Toshiba HD-A30 1080p HD DVD Player

I recently purchased the HD-A30 DVD player from Amazon since they had a promotion going on that you received 10 free HD DVDs when purchasing a Toshiba HD DVD player. I’ve now had time to watch several hd dvds on it and I have to say that I am impressed. The HD quality is as I expected. I do have it hooked up to my 1080p LCD TV. The DVD upscaling also appears to work really well.

My only negatives: The boot time on this DVD player is a little slow, however this is just a minor flaw in the player. I’d estimate it takes the player around a full minute to boot up and load a disc.

Just thought I would wish everyone a happy holidays since I have not been posting too much on my website. Also - I’ve been meaning to write up a post on a website which I have been spending some of my spare time on lately, www.duelboard.com which is an online site to play Rook (card game for those of you who do not know). This is by far the best place to get an online game together for Rook - players are ranked to help you get a fair matchup. Anyways - I’ll try to post more often in 2008.

I have not posted since I was on my European cruise this summer….sorry….So…As an update I graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Business Administration with a focus on Entrepreneurship/Family Business on August 4, 2007. I am currently located in Talco, TX working for Warren Truck & Trailer, LLC (www.warrentruckandtrailer.com). I am currently living out of my Tiffin Allegro motorhome since I will be traveling to and from all the Warren company locations. I will try to make myself write on this site a few times a week from now on. I have plenty of topics to write on if I can find the time…I am also hoping to find time for one of my other neglected sites, www.sportsbettingcash.com (or maybe sell it). Anyway - I will post again soon. War Damn Eagle - I’m ready for the first AU game tomorrow!!

Cherbourg France - Cruise Update

The cruise is going really well and I am impressed with the Silversea cruise line. My only complaint would be that there are not very many young people aboard the ship, however this is something that I knew about prior to deciding to come on this ship. Other cruise lines have much more going on late at night compared to this ship - for example, last night around midnight there were only a few people in the bar other than myself. Anyway - we arrived in Cherbourg, France today and took a tour to Sainte-Mere-Eglise and also to Utah Landing Beach. I was very glad I went on the tour as we got to see many things that were very interesting to learn more about. I have uploaded a few more pictures to my facebook album “baltic cruise”. That is all for now - I am planning on seeing how the casino on the ship is tonight as it will open once we leave port.

SilverSea’s Silver Shadow Cruise Update

European Baltic Cruise Update: Well, I had a decent flight from Birmingham to Cincinnati to London (Gatwick) even though I was only able to get around one hour of sleep at best. Once we arrived in London and found our luggage on the carousel we saw a huge line to clear customs…then randomly a security worker asked if we were from the United States and we told him yes. We were then permitted to bypass the huge line and take a “shortcut” directly out of the airport where we quickly found our driver holding our name on a sign. It was really weird that we were able to bypass the huge line because almost everyone else that was on our flight from Cincinnati to London was waiting in the line…I guess we just got lucky. Once we found our driver he helped us load all of our luggage in his van and then we had to decide what we wanted to do since we had a few hours to kill. We ended up going to see Stonehenge which I did not find to be as great as most people make it out to be, but is still something that I was glad to see in person. I will try to upload some pictures of it tomorrow. While I do agree that it is amazing that they were setup thousands of years ago, they are still just a bunch of rocks setup in the middle of cow and sheep fields. As we continued on we finally arrived to our cruise ship, the Silver Shadow. So far my only complaint is that they did not have any food/drinks setup for us while we waited to board the ship, however now that we have boarded the ship everything has been very top notch. Hopefully I will find time to write on my blog everyday I am on the cruise. I have purchased 1000 minutes of internet use on the Silver Shadow for $250 ($0.25/minute) which is expensive but I’m sure I will use it up quickly and will want it.

Trip to Europe

I am headed back to Europe tomorrow on vacation. I will be taking a cruise starting from Southampton, UK and ending in Copenhagen, Denmark. We will be making many stops along the way and hopefully I can update my blog with pictures every day or two. I will be aboard the Silver Shadow cruise ship run by Silversea Cruises. I will update reviews of the cruise while we are onboard the ship.
